Pack 5 Salads Tonight That Will Stay Fresh All Week

Over 50 years after her death, Marilyn Monroe still has the worldwide appeal to become the face of a beauty brand. Max Factor has named the actress as its "Global Glamour Ambassador," hoping to inspire a new generation of women to get glamorous this year. The announcement comes at the same time as the launch of the #GlamJan campaign, which encourages Max Factor fans to take a selfie of their most glamorous makeup look and share the photo online throughout January.

It may seem odd to choose a celebrity who's no longer alive as an ambassador, but the connection between Marilyn and Max Factor is a strong one. Max Factor himself was a contemporary of Marilyn's and one of the people responsible for turning pretty Norma Jeane into bombshell Marilyn through a glamorous makeover. Max Factor lipstick "Ruby Tuesday" (£7) was one of her favourites, and the king of makeup in the golden age of Hollywood was also rumoured to be the man behind her trademark platinum blonde hair colour. Can his products make you the next Marilyn? Creme Puff at the ready, time to find out!
